With support from the California Arts Council, the Foundation for the Performing Arts Center will provide access to high-quality performing arts experiences to more than 17,000 students in the 2019-2020 season through the School Matinee Program and the Poly Arts for Youth Program. More than 12,000 students will attend free School Matinee performances and an additional 5,000 students will participate in free in-school arts education outreach and enrichment programs through Poly Arts for Youth.
The Foundation for the Performing Arts Center, alongside its partners the City of San Luis Obispo and California Polytechnic State University, subsidizes annual operational, maintenance and capital improvement costs of the Performing Arts Center, San Luis Obispo (PAC). Additionally, the Foundation focuses on increasing accessibility to the arts for residents of all ages. The Foundation provides arts-education programs benefiting local students, such as the School Matinee Program, which serves over 12,000 K-12 students annually, and provides financial and mission-driving support for the PAC’s resident performing arts companies.
