With support from the California Arts Council, the Educational Enrichment Foundation for the Arts will be able to continue outreach artistic performances for Grades K-8, fund master classes, field trips, and master teachers to ensure students receive the best professional training and exposure to their field throughout their arts curriculum.
Outreach and Awareness for the arts – This program provides support for outreach efforts with free performances during the academic year and interactive talk back sessions with the shows’ cast members and directors. This serves as an important function of ensuring equitable access for youth to live performances, and encourages these students to consider pursuing an arts education in high school and beyond. EEFA provides these outreach performances and master classes for students in grades K-8 throughout the HBUHSD community. Arts Education and Enrichment – This program assists with funding master classes, field trips, and master teachers each academic year to ensure students receive the best professional training and exposure to their field throughout their arts curriculum. EEFA provides resources for working with industry professionals for students in grades K-12. Professional Development –
This program supports professional and technical career education in the arts such as stage management and costume design by providing state-of-the-art technology like industry-standard inventory systems. Many technical theatre students go on to pursue successful careers in this field. EEFA provides funds for state of the art industry specific equipment. Community Engagement – This program allows for community-wide collaborations with APA and the HBUHSD to promote arts awareness and seeks partnerships with local businesses and individuals who wish to see arts education continue for high school students as well as K-8th grade feeder schools. EEFA supports artistic endeavors and enrichment opportunities for students in the APA program grades 9-12 and throughout the HBUHSD community. Scholarship Programs – This program provides scholarship funding for career-minded students in order to ensure equitable access to university and career training after high school. EEFA provides scholarships for pursuing an arts education program and for APA youth summer arts camps.
