The organization’s mission is to promoting Slavic culture through the beauty of dance arts. The organization’s objectives include helping Slavic immigrant community to preserve its cultural heritage, as well as to enrich other ethnic community of Los Angeles with the art of Slavic folk dance.
The purpose of our activities is to provide educational programs for school-age children in Los Angeles County. Our programs allow students to develop their talents, to receive training in folk dance, history of dance and folk culture, basics of choreography.
Because the “Showtime – Katusha”, as an organization, with Slavic roots, many of our programs are aimed to preserve the beautiful Slavic heritage given to the world through performing arts: folk dance, traditional music appreciation, and ethnic costumes.
Our goals: to advance and promote Slavic dance, to serve and support the community, to provide opportunities to the community to experience a positive atmosphere of Slavic culture.
