Aunt Lute Books is a 37-year-old nonprofit, multicultural press, located in the Mission District of San Francisco. We are committed to publishing authors—primarily women—whose voices and visions are underrepresented in mainstream presses by virtue of race, ethnicity, sexuality, socio-economic background, and/or age. We support new writers who voice contemporary community concerns; writers who express the true complexity of women’s lives and the possibilities for personal and social change. We are committed to supporting our authors to future accomplishments, aiding them in their artistic careers.
