With support from the California Arts Council, ARHOOLIE FOUNDATION will create Rumbo A California, an exhibit of its Frontera Collection, the world’s largest collection of Mexican American vernacular music, much from CA. The exhibit will show the interplay between historical forces affecting CA Mexican Americans’ lives & the music both responding to & informing these historical forces. It will travel to ~3 CA cities for ~2 months, featuring live musical performances, & will be available online.

Financial support for artists, documentarians, teachers, and others working creatively to help keep tradition-based music alive and well.
