For over 40 years, Amador County Arts Council (Amador Arts) has worked on our mission: To encourage, support, and promote the arts in our schools and community. Amador Arts has been a State Local Partner since 2010.
Amador Arts is the designated local partner to the California Arts Council. The purpose of Amador Arts is to be a catalyst for arts and culture in Amador County by acting as the central distributor of state, federal, and local art monies in order to support the creative economy, promote local artists, provide arts education and advocacy, engage in racial equity & anti-racism, and act as a liaison between the creatives, local government, and the community at-large. Amador Arts provides free art classes, concerts, and resources; grants and scholarships prioritizing Black and Indigenous People of Color; advocacy for arts education and anti-racism; and creative community space that is free and safe for all people.
