All of the Alameda County Arts Commission’s (ACAC) services are based on the belief that the arts and creativity are an essential part of every successful and thriving community. ACAC supports all art forms and creative expression such as music, drama, dance, theater, visual, literary, traditional, new media, etc. ACAC is dedicated to improving the quality of life in the County by:
• Advocating and building public will for the arts and creativity by serving as a link between individuals, organizations, businesses and government;
• Nurturing a thriving and diverse artistic and cultural environment throughout the Alameda County region;
• Promoting economic opportunities for the county’s artists and arts organizations through programs such as arts advocacy, grants, public art, arts learning and community engagement;
• Encouraging equitable and inclusive public access and participation in the arts.
