Encaustic Workshop with Linda Nunes

Description

Encaustic medium, pigmented encaustic, tools, some mixed media, substrates will be supplied. Students will be working in a 4” x 4” to 8” x 8” format. Each student will leave with four finished projects.
Level-Beginner

Materials:
· Pen or pencil – for taking notes
· Small scissors
· Small Matt Medium (my preference) or Modge Podge to use as an adhesive
· Small 4 oz. container for water
· Small inexpensive brush – ½” is fine
· Apron
· Ephemera (this is optional, but it really makes your work more personal).
This could include:
o   Any kind of small doo-dah you would like to try including in your art piece.

o   Inexpensive, thin papers (old dictionary pages, vintage children’s books, sheet music, maps, diagrams, etc.)  Not cardstock or glossy magazine pages

o   Light fabric, netting, lace, decorative paper napkins, etc.

o   Ink jet copies of photos – black/white or color (not original photos)
