Prospect Art is seeking Los Angeles-based visual artists for the PRESENT WORK series. We are looking for existing or new work by professional artists not currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program. Priority is given to artists that are not represented by a commercial gallery in Los Angeles. We are looking to feature artists/or collectives currently living in Los Angeles who don’t have an outlet for their work. There is a large population of visual artists in the city and a lack of not-for-profit spaces to exhibit. We will secure an exhibition venue within Los Angeles and provide ONE ARTIST or ONE COLLECTIVE with the financial support to finish and present not previously exhibited work. Artists that make it to the final review round will qualify for studio visits with Prospect Art founders and will be featured on the website as finalists.
We are looking for Los Angeles based artists with established studio practices who have lived in the city for at least 5 years. Projects that are usually not well represented in commercial galleries will be prioritized.
Exhibition will open end of 2022 or early 2023.
Proposals will only be accepted through a Google form.

PROSPECT ART is a forward-thinking, Los Angeles-based artist-run organization that fosters artists’ careers by providing exposure through open dialogues, critical writing, project grants, and exhibitions.
The organization was conceived during the 2020 pandemic. Prospect Art is looking towards a world of representation and equality by creating new opportunities for local, national, and international artists. The organization is structured as an agile, responsive entity to serve artists, the local Los Angeles community, and beyond by supporting existing and new works to be presented to the public. We’re interested in breaking down silos and sharing information and knowledge to further the careers of artists and forge new alliances with the community.
