Teaching Artists in San Francisco

Description

NOW HIRING TEACHING ARTISTS!

After School Drama Workshops and In-School Residencies

New Conservatory Theatre Center (NCTC) has been a cornerstone of theatre education in San Francisco for over 40 years. Help us bring drama to the next generation of theatre-makers by completing our Teaching Artist Application form. BIPOC and multilingual speakers are especially encouraged to apply.

ABOUT OUR WORKSHOPS

NCTC Education provides weekly after-school workshops and in-school residencies for K-8 students in partnership with San Francisco schools. Our highly-trained Teaching Artists use targeted lesson plans to help students develop skills such as pantomime, spontaneity, character development, and ensemble building.

After-school workshops take place Monday-Friday one hour per week for 8-10 weeks between 2:30-5 pm. In-school residencies vary in day, time, and hours. Preferably, Teaching Artists work 2-3 afternoons per week and, when possible, NCTC books back-to-back workshops at a single site to maximize time and compensation.
