Getty Marrow Exhibition and Audience Engagement Intern will work closely with the Vice President of Exhibitions and Art Director and focus on supporting JANM’s new core exhibition, In the Future We Call Now: Realities of Racism, Dreams of Democracy, which promises to provide contemporary context for the journey of Japanese Americans, spanning immigration, WWII incarceration, through to contemporary issues. By combining cutting-edge scholarship with immersive exhibits and programming, this exhibition will engage and inspire audiences in a way that resonates with today’s societal challenges.
The intern will focus on the development of interactive and educational opportunities that will exist through this exhibition. In doing so, we will be able to build and test the activities that will exist inside of this exhibition for school group tours and general visitors. The final product for this internship will be several educational and audience engagement activities that will allow the visitor to have a deeper and more meaningful experience.
