ABOUT THE POSITION
The APICC Program Manager will support the Artistic Director in coordinating and managing APICC’s current programs, as well as assist in developing new initiatives that align with APICC’s mission. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in event production and promotion, and works well in a collaborative team environment. We seek an individual passionate about supporting and uplifting the cultural and artistic endeavors of Asian and Pacific Islander communities.

Job Type: Part-Time
Compensation: $25 per hour. Up to 80 hours per month.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Management & Artist Coordination
- Work with Artistic Director in planning, production and evaluation of all in-person and online events and programs
- Assist managing contracts for artists, contractors, and vendors and ensure they work and are paid within project budgets
- Coordinate professional development workshops and technical support for artists
- Manage and train a seasonal Festival Assistant and/or a Festival Intern for event staffing, registration, online and in-person box office procedures and reports, and executing communications campaigns.
- Source, task, and supervise volunteers for events and programs including outreach to community partners, organizations, and local universities to solicit volunteers to sign up
Communications
- Serve as the first point of contact for artists, disseminating relevant information, announcements, and reminders.
- Maintain artist listservs via Google Groups and manage database contacts.
- Oversee marketing and publicity campaigns for events in collaboration with producing artists.
- Manage and update PR and marketing contacts databases on Airtable.
- Acquire and prepare marketing and press materials for promotion.
- Manage APICC’s website, newsletter, and social media platforms, including writing, editing, and disseminating content across digital channels.
- Publicize programs through various channels, including the website, social media, email blasts, and local listings.
Design, write, edit, and distribute promotional materials, press kits, and other content.
Manage outreach to community partners, key stakeholders, event partners, and sponsors.
Ensure all marketing and publicity campaign timelines and deadlines are met.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years experience working in arts event production, experience in the Asian American/Pacific Islander arts community a plus
- Strong marketing skills for arts programs and festivals highly desired – must demonstrate expert communications skills especially with copywriting and editing
- Thrive in a fast-paced work environment and are able to balance differing priorities and responsibilities while meeting multiple deadlines in a timely manner
- Experience with online productivity tools like Gmail, Google Drive (Docs and Sheets), Slack, and AirTable preferred
- Proficiency with PC systems and Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
- Familiarity with online platforms such as Zoom and YouTube. Broadcasting and streaming experience is a plus.
- Flexibility in schedule as required for all programs, especially during festival presentations from April through June – including weekends/evenings required
- Commitment to promoting diversity and equity in the arts and have the ability to work with diverse, underserved populations
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs without assistance
