With support from the California Arts Council, Rize All will be able to send a few instructors to a conference allowing them to bring back more skills focused on professional choreography, body placement and injury prevention, and camera and live performance qualities.
Rize All’s first program was afterschool arts called Rize & Dance started in 2014. We would go to school sites ages K-12 and provide instruction in Jazz, Ballet, Hip-Hop, and Breaking. We would teach them fundamental movements and performance skills. Student set goals, perform for friends and family, and have a great arts experience.
Rize All has a Dance Studio and Arts Center as of February 2017. There we specialize in dance styles: Hip-Hop, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Ballroom, Hula, and more. We have a performance at the end of the session on a stage with lighting, costumes, and everything they need for a professional show allowing them to experience and learn about it. We also have opportunities for our students to compete and go to conventions to learn from professionals, as well as audition for scholarships and career advancement. Our students can become instructors and be paid for continuing the teaching and passion of dance to others in our community.
