S.C.R.A.P. Gallery is partnering with the Cathedral City Peace Initiative to host Pieces For Peace, observing the United Nations International Day of Peace. This exhibition will be held at the Cathedral City Senior Center on September 21, 2024. The U.N. General Assembly has declared this a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace by observing 24 hours of non-violence and a cease-fire. 

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the United Nations General Assembly’s adoption of the Declaration and Programme of Action on a Culture of Peace.

This call is open to all artists and students and encourages artists to consider their role or contribution to cultivating peace. Accepted media and materials include painting, prints, sculpture, photography, and mixed media. Recycled and repurposed materials are enthusiastically encouraged.
