We’re Hiring Teaching Artists!
Richmond Art Center (RAC) is looking for Teaching Artists with backgrounds in visual art and studio art for our in-person and online programs. We have dedicated studios for Jewelry & Metal Arts, Printmaking, Ceramics, Fiber Art, Glass Arts and Painting/Drawing/Mixed Media. Teaching Artists (TA) collaborate with the Education Department team to develop curriculum and unique offerings, such as classes, workshops and other programs. Our TAs are an important part of RAC’s staff and are entrusted with the support and care of all our community members. In addition to speaking English, candidates who speak, read and write fluently in Spanish or Mandarin are ideal.
This position is as a casual employee, 2-12 hours a week, $35 per hour plus paid pre-time and curriculum development time. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
