Cypress Art League will host its 47th Annual Spring Art Show on April 22-23, 2023. Entries from artists of all levels, from beginner to professional. 

Mediums: oil, acrylic, watercolor, ink/pen, pastel, mixed media, photography, digital art, 3-dimensional. 

Juror: Paul Paiement 

Paiement has shown widely in group shows in New York, Italy, the Netherlands, Canada, London, France, Austria, Japan, China, Chicago, and the United States. Most notably the Laguna Art Museum, Laguna Beach, CA; Mattatock Museum, Waterbury, Connecticut; Colle del Duomo Museo, Viterbo, Italy; San Francisco Art Commission; Berkley Art Center; The Centré d’Art Contemporain, Pont-Aven, France; The Arnot Art Museum, Elmira, NY; de Saisset Museum, Santa Clara; Oxford Castle, Oxford, England; the National Academy of Art, Oslo, Norway. And, recent solo exhibition “Una Nuova Specie” at Palazzo del Bargello, Museo della Balestra, Gubbio, Italy and the Carrousel du Louvre, The Louvre, Paris, France.

Paiement’s work has been featured in numerous publications including New American Paintings, Corriere dell’ Umbria (Italy), Art in America, Artillary, ARTnews, Artscene, Modern Painters, Artforum, The Los Angeles Times, Art in America, The Orange County Register, Artweek, SF Weekly, and the New Art Examiner. He is represented in by Adelinda Allegretti (Rome, Italy), Tufenkian Fine Arts (Los Angeles), and Ethan Cohen Gallery (New York). Paiement received his BFA from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and MFA from the University of Southern California in 1995. He currently is on the full-time faculty (painting, drawing) at Cypress College in Orange County, California.

Entries are $15 each for non-members and $9 each for members. 5th entry is free.

Judging – Saturday, April 22 1 pm 
Public Viewing – Sunday, April 23 12 pm – 4 pm 
Awards reception – Sunday, April 23 4 pm – 4:30 pm 
Artwork pick up – Sunday, April 23 4:30 pm – 5 pm
