The Black Butte Center for Railroad Culture supports and promotes: 1) The preservation and documentation of railroad culture, including the art, music, literature and stories of those who, historically and in modern times, worked on or rode the railroads of North America. 2) Ecological restoration at our site and in neighboring areas, and 3) Community-building through bringing together people of diverse backgrounds with a shared interest in railroad culture.
