The mission of Liberty Painting Corp is to serve a charitable and educational purpose by enriching the cultural heritage and communications among all people through creations of work of fine arts and other art forms.

Our vision/purpose is to:
1) exhibit works from a broad base of individuals and groups in our community,
and to offer a venue to guest artists bringing new works and ideas to Siskiyou County.
2) provide educational outreach programs, workshop space and facilities for artists, students and community members.
3) broaden awareness of cultural achievements through performance and exhibition.
4) offer community events, which expand appreciation of all art forms through exhibition, lecture, fundraisers, informal discussion and artist talks.

Liberty Painting Corp, opened Liberty Arts gallery in 2008 as a focus for community arts, which has since become a vital cultural center in rural Siskiyou County. We offer our community 9 unique exhibitions per year and special events. Show openings draw local residents, as well as individuals from the surrounding areas, and are well attended. These shows present art from a diverse knowledge base, providing art education and stimulation for our rural population- many of whom have limited experience with art museums or galleries.

Our desire for exhibition diversity invites all to share and participate. Over the last 3 years, show themes have included: Coming Home- Renewing the World, contemporary Native art from along the Klamath River; Fragments: an Archeology of Memory, exploring art in healing a Veteran’s trauma; Cowboy Up!, a celebration of our local ranching culture; Relative Pairings, an invitation to create work as a family unit, and Natural Wonders, a culminating exhibition of work created in an on-site Makerspace in which students, clients of our local Opportunity Center and residents from assisted living communities created sculpture, prints, collage and tileworks.
