Founded in 2018 by Sacramento locals John Hamilton and Tyler Garnett, ​​Department Of Sound is dedicated to the mission of providing opportunities to youth through music, podcasting, and the medium of sound. As a team composed of artists, music producers, engineers, and entertainment industry leaders who have experienced the life-changing power of music firsthand, we are guided by our deeply held conviction that access to the multifaceted benefits of self-expression through music and sound should be a universal right, not a luxury.
