Veteran Comic Con is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that supports military veterans through art therapy. Our mission is to bring joy to and promote the well-being of military veterans and their families. Art brings joy to military veterans and helps to alleviate symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. The organization exists to help resolve challenges that military veterans face. Challenges include symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, feeling disconnected from others, lacking purpose, and lacking fulfilling interpersonal relationships. Military veterans also have limited knowledge of outlets available and may have limited access to resources to alleviate experience of disconnection. Our goal is to be a resource for military veterans for art therapy, music therapy, jobs, transitional housing and mental health services.
