CREATIVE MINDS NYC, INC, popularly known as Story Pirates Changemakers, is a non-profit organization that celebrates the words, ideas, and stories of young people. It is our mission to address the disparity of education for underserved students and schools where there are fewer arts-focused teachers, and where language arts instructors are often overextended and forced to teach to tests without time and space for creativity and curiosity. We work to foster creative collaborations between kids and world-class artists, including top comedians, authors, and musicians. Story Pirates Changemakers is the nonprofit arm of Story Pirates, a nationally respected education and media organization that creates sketch comedy and music for the stage, videos, podcasts, and books. Story Pirates stories are seen, heard, and read throughout the country and beyond.
