Title: Social Media Coordinator

Start Date: September 19, 2022
Part Time: (approximately 10 hours per week)
Salary: $18 per hour
Summary of Duties: The Social Media Coordinator (SMC) is responsible for planning, implementing and managing social media accounts for VOX Femina Los Angeles (VOX).
THE OPPORTUNITY:
VOX Femina Los Angeles, LA’s premier women’s choir, seeks a creative and energetic Social Media Coordinator who is passionate about working in the arts and with diverse communities. The SMC will be responsible for producing dynamic content across multiple social media platforms.
The SMC will oversee the planning and implementation of the Social Media Communications plan for the 2022-2023 season and represent the organization through the creation of engaging content.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working with VOX Administrative Coordinator and Executive Director:
– Develop and implement Social Media Communications plans for the current season
– Create tracking system for online activities to assess and optimize audience behavior
– Develop list of potential partnerships with Arts, Cultural and Academic organizations across the country; outreach, establish and implement cross-promotional relationships
– Facilitate and engage in online conversations with customers٫ including responding to queries or questions from clients.
– Research current trends and audience preferences in order to create relevant content
– Develop and implement an optimal posting schedule٫ taking into consideration metrics and customer engagement
– Measure٫ record and monitor SEO
– Facilitate training on proficient social media use for coworkers.
– Stay up to date with social media trends and current best practices.
– Track and report social media analytics as required.
– Work with minimal supervision as a member of the creative team in a fast-paced Marketing environment.
– Maintain unified brand voice across different social media channels.
– Attend concerts and some rehearsals/events in order to create necessary content.
– Assist in the creation and editing of written, video, and photo content.
– Ability to understand historical, current, and future trends in the digital content and social media space
– Research Google Ad Grants for implementation
– Participate in short bi-weekly Zoom meetings with Marketing team (staff and volunteers) to establish goals, deliverables and timelines, and monitor implementation
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND KEY SKILLS:
– Previous Social Media experience
– Ability to deliver unique and engaging social media content
– Familiarity with online marketing strategies and how to implement these strategies
– Proficiency with video, photo editing tools, and digital media formats.
– Strong copywriting and copy editing skills
– Detail-oriented approach with ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
– Direct experience using social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprinklr)
– Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
– Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premier Pro) or equivalent digital media editing tools a plus
This position is approximately 75% remote, with in-person attendance at concerts and some rehearsals required.
