Founded in 1989, Attitudinal Healing Connection (AHC) is a progressive arts organization that focuses on community engagement and social change. AHC’s work was born out of a need to create a safe community space that would allow residents to partake in expressive and uplifting programs while reducing community conflict in Oakland. In this vein, AHC’s mission is to empower individuals to be self-aware and inspired through arts, creativity, and education, making positive choices to break the cycle of violence for themselves and their communities.
