NEA announces $3.5M in arts project grants in California

National Endowment for the Arts Chairman Mary Anne Carter has announced federal funding awards of more than $3 million to California arts organizations in its first round of funding for fiscal year 2020. One hundred and fifty-five grants will celebrate creativity, cultural heritage, and extend arts' reach for those with limited access. More information is in our latest press release.

AIC Opportunities: Advisor pool & program name change

California's Arts in Corrections program is looking to the community for help to grow prison arts programming in a new direction: Returned citizens who were formerly incarcerated are encouraged to lend their valuable voices to state contract decision making as paid Arts in Corrections panel advisors - details and how to apply at this link. And, as part of a community-based approach, the CAC invites everyone to participate in our process to develop a new program name - register for the upcoming webinar on February 5 to learn more.

The California Arts Council is seeking a qualified consultant or firm to design and implement a collaborative and human-centered program evaluation of the CAC's grant and contract-based funding programs using innovative and inclusive methods.
