Council meeting: March 26 in Sacramento

The California Arts Council will hold its next business meeting in Sacramento on March 26. The public is invited to attend and to address the Council during the public comment period. A detailed meeting agenda will be posted at this link by the close of the business day on March 15.

Become an Arts in Corrections coordinating organization

The California Arts Council is looking to increase the variety and number of arts workshop offerings for the state's Arts in Corrections program, and we want YOU to become our newest coordinating organization! Find out how with our new tutorial video and simplified proposal process. Submissions are due on or before April 8.

Win-win: High-school champions wow with words at the California Poetry Out Loud State Finals

Lily Bogas of Tamalpais High School in Marin County is California's 2019 Poetry Out Loud state champion. And in the state's inaugural year adding the Poetry Ourselves competition, Sonoma County Poetry Out Loud champion Zoya Ahmed wins for an original poem.   >>
