New! California Creative Economy Report

Last week, the results of the 2014 Otis Report on the Creative Economy of California (Otis Report) were unveiled at a state Capitol hearing before the Legislative Joint Committee on the Arts in Sacramento. The statewide Otis Report, supported by the California Arts Council, asserts California's competitive advantage in the creative sector and underscores the need to bolster the talent pipeline through support for the arts and arts education.   MORE >>

Poetry Out Loud National Finals Next Week

On Tuesday, April 28, 53 high school students who advanced from poetry recitation competitions across the U.S. states and territories will gather in Washington, D.C. to match their skills in reciting classic and contemporary poetry in the 2015 National Semifinals of Poetry Out Loud: National Recitation Contest. Tuolumne County's Levi Lowe will represent California. You can watch Levi recite live during the competition on Tuesday, April 28 between 2 and 5pm PST.    MORE >>
