Patty Milich Announces Her Retirement Patty Milich will retire from the state after working at the California Arts Council for more than 25 years. Patty serves on the Executive Staff as the Programs Officer overseeing the administration of all grants programs and some special initiatives. Over the years, Patty wore many hats at the CAC, providing outstanding service to California's arts community in various roles. Friday, June 27, 2014 is Patty's last full-time day in the office. Arts Council Meeting: June 17 & 18 in Los AngelesThe Arts Council will meet on Tuesday, June 17 and Wednesday, June 18 at the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center in Los Angeles. The two-day meeting will take place Tuesday from noon - 5pm, and Wednesday from 10am - 4pm. The public is invited to attend and address the Council during the public comment period on both days. Jane Chu Confirmed as NEA ChairmanToday, the United States Senate voted to confirm Jane Chu as the 11th chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts. The White House is expected to make the official appointment in the coming days and Chu will begin her appointment shortly thereafter. MORE >>
