Over 30 Students to Compete in California's Poetry Out Loud Finals in Sacramento on March 20-21 Students from 34 counties will compete this year in the annual California Poetry Out Loud finals on Sunday and Monday, March 20 and 21, 2011. This year marks the third time the state Senate Chambers will be the venue for the California Poetry Out Loud state finals on Monday, and the agency and staff in the capitol plan on having the event televised and webcast live on the Cal Channel. California Summer School for the Arts Now Accepting Applications The California State Summer School for the Arts is now accepting applications for its summer 2011 program. The program takes place between July 9 and August 5.
