Additional resources for arts-related jobs identified by national arts advocacy organization The staff at the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies (NASAA) has been hard at work identifying potential assistance for arts-related and creative economy jobs, including from sources besides the National Endowment for the Arts. The California Arts Council encourages arts organizations and creative-sector employers to examine NASAA's information for potential job stimulus funds. California Indian Basket Exhibit Receives Praise, Rave Reviews The gentle notes of GRAMMY-award winner Mary Youngblood's flute rose above the din of voices on March 11, 2009, at The California Museum in Sacramento, as the onlookers admired the exquisite baskets on display. Over 200 people attended the pre-opening reception for "American Masterpieces: the Legacy of California Indian Baskets," a special exhibit brought together through the efforts of the California Arts Council and California State Parks, with funds from the National Endowment for the Arts' "American Masterpieces" program. The exhibit will be on display until March of 2010. Peer Review Panels for "Artists in Schools" Program May 4-6, 11-13 The peer-review panel of the Artists in Schools program will take place at the California Arts Council offices in two groups: the first on May 4,5 and 6, 2009; and the second on May 11, 12 and 13.
