Malissa Feruzzi Shriver elected Chair of the California Arts Council; Eunice David elected Vice Chair Malissa Feruzzi Shriver of Santa Monica -- formerly the Vice Chair of the California Arts Council -- was elected at the January 27 meeting by her fellow councilmembers to be the Chair for the coming year. The Council also elected Eunice David of Los Angeles to be the Vice Chair. The meeting took place in Sacramento at the Library and Courts building just west of the state Capitol, and a reception with the Council, Governor and members of the Legislature took place afterwards. Appointments made to notable arts-related legislative committees, Governor's administration The past two weeks marked changes and announcements in the arts-related committees and positions in the Assembly and Governor's office. The members of the Assembly Committee on Arts, Entertainment, Sports, Tourism, and Internet Media were announced in late January, as well as Dr. Glen Thomas as Secretary of Education for Schwarzenegger.
