Theatre Bay Area’s mission is to unite, strengthen, promote and advance the Bay Area theatre community, working from our conviction that theatre and all the arts are an essential public good, critical to a prosperous and democratic society, and invaluable as a source of personal enrichment and growth.
Founded in 1976, TBA is one of the largest regional theatre service organizations in North America, with nearly 2,000 individual artist and 300 theatre company members. Most TBA members are located in a the 13-county greater Bay Area region.
