Formed in October 1996 by Director, Kendra Kimbrough Barnes, K★STAR★PRODUCTIONS (fiscally sponsored by Dimensions Dance Theater) serves as a performing arts presenting organization for the Black Choreographers Festival: Here & Now and the Kendra Kimbrough Dance Ensemble (KKDE).

Our mission is to fearlessly cultivate a diverse environment that inspires, informs and supports the evolution of the arts through relationship building, mentoring, exploration and presentation.

The goal of K★STAR★PRODUCTIONS is to create an institution that contributes to building healthy communities through a legacy of wealth, support, tools and resources stimulating the expansion of creativity. This happens by cultivating leaders, curating work and forming alliances. Nurturing and valuing the creativity in diverse artists and those who may not view themselves as such.
