Humboldt State University Sponsored Programs Foundation (HSU SPF) is an auxiliary organization to Humboldt State University whose primary mission is to provide the Humboldt State University community with professional and accessible pre- and post-award grant and contract services.
Humboldt State University’s Art Department is a community of artists, historians, and educators who recognize art as a potent force for change and understand the importance of our task to educate the individuals who will shape our collective future. We offer students a rigorous grounding in the history, practice, and teaching of the visual arts, as we strive to produce graduates who will go forward with confidence in their skills, abilities, and potential. We recognize the broader role of art in today’s increasingly visual culture, and that graduates must be leaders in that culture, with independence of mind, spirited curiosity, and agency in a rapidly changing world.
