DESCRIPTION:The California Arts Council invites you to attend our upcoming business meeting on Friday\, March 1\, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Center for Healthy Communities in Oakland\, with public access available on location\, by web link\, or by phone. \nCalifornia Arts Council Meeting\nMarch 1\, 2024\n10 AM – 3 PM\nThe Center for Healthy Communities\nEastmont Room\n2000 Franklin St\, Oakland\, CA 94612 \nSignificant agenda items include: \n\nPRESENTATION: Center for Cultural Power\nPRESENTATION: Alliance for California Traditional Arts\nVOTING ITEM: 2024 Grant Programs Guidelines\nPRESENTATION: Californians for the Arts\n\nSimultaneous ASL and Spanish interpretation will be provided via Zoom. Interpretación simultánea en español – transmisión de audio por Zoom. \nShare your thoughts with us through public comment\nSince December 2022\, the CAC has followed an updated public comment process to help ensure specific\, meaningful\, and thoughtful contributions from the field for each of the important items that come before Council as part of the discussion prior to the vote taking place. \nEach substantive voting item on the meeting agenda has a allotted period for public comment specific to that item\, as reflected on the agenda. Meetings also include a designated time for general public comment to address any non-agendized Council business. Individuals who wish provide live comments during the Council meeting must attend in person or join virtually using the web link or phone numbers provided. \nWritten comments may also be submitted in advance of the meeting of the Council and until 5 p.m. up to two business day following the close of the meeting. All submitted comments will be distributed to Council members. Comments submitted before 9 a.m. on the day prior to the meeting date will be submitted to the Council before convening; all others will be supplied to Council after the scheduled meeting time. All submitted comments will also be entered into the official record of the meeting as part of the meeting minutes. \nPublic comment may be submitted anonymously if desired. \nMeeting agenda details\, access numbers and links\, and further information on public comment policy and process are all available now on the Council Meetings page of our website.
