Job Summary

YoloArts is a county-wide organization fostering a robust arts and cultural community in Yolo County by serving artists, arts organizations, and the community. We are now hiring ~5 Educators to join our team. We are seeking highly motivated, organized, and enthusiastic individuals to support our Field Trip and Touring programs.

The Educator will work with the Education Director in the YoloArts Field Trip program, developing lessons, tours, educational engagements, and performing some light clerical duties pertaining to YoloArts’ Education department as needed. Our field trip program tours the Barn Gallery, Gibson House, and provides hands-on arts engagements to K-12 students and beyond.

Major Job Responsibilities
Work with Education Director to Develop Field Trip  Curriculum for rotating Exhibitions
Work Field Trips Tuesday-Thursday Mornings 9am-1pm
Set Up & Breakdown of Field Trip Activities
Lead Tours of Barn Gallery, House, and Property
Lead Hands-On Activities
Communicate with Classroom Teachers, School Administrators, & Parent Volunteers
Lead Community Tours as Scheduled
Lead Studio Activities as Scheduled
Represent YoloArts at community events around Yolo County as scheduled

Qualifications

1-2 years’ experience working with school age children
Experience with teaching or leading children’s activities
Bilingual Highly Desired – Spanish & English 
Knowledge of or Interest in Art, Art History, Studio Art, &/or History
Access to transportation to Gibson House and Property
Must pass TB test and background check
Part Time Availability During School Hours: T-Th 8am-1pm, Nov-May

Abilities

Must occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs
Must stand and walk for long periods of time
Must Participate in YA Training in early November 2024

Schedule of Employment

To begin late October, 2024

Status :Part-Time, non-exempt, in-person.

Field Trips: Begin Nov. 2024  | Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday  9:00am-1:00pm as scheduled.
Other tours and events  are as scheduled. 

Some weekends and evenings are required.

$20-23.00 hourly based on experience.

Does not include health benefits.
