About the Joe Goode Performance Group:
Founded in 1986, Joe Goode Performance Group (JGPG) is a nationally recognized dance theater organization promoting understanding, and compassion among people through innovative dance and theater. Its mission is enacted through professional productions and community engagement programs at the Joe Goode Annex and in public spaces throughout the Bay Area. The Joe Goode Annex is a 75-seat studio theater at Project Artaud in San Francisco’s Mission District. It serves as a space for JGPG performances, rehearsals, classes, workshops, and rental space, serving over 100 local artists and 5000 audience members and participants annually. The current annual budget of the Joe Goode Performance Group is approximately $950,000.
About the Position:
The ED will collaborate with the Artistic Director, Staff, and Board of Directors to manage the organization’s day-to-day operations while helping to lead and shape its long-term vision and financial and strategic goals. The Executive Director serves as a primary thought leader and co-leads the organization with the Founder and Artistic Director, Joe Goode, who develops and guides the artistic vision and priorities of the organization through his institutional and performance field knowledge.
The ED should be highly organized and have an affinity for JGPG’s approach to art making and a passion for uplifting the local dance and live performing arts community. They will bring positive energy into relationships with colleagues, artists, donors, and community partners. In addition, the ED will ideally possess:
Compensation and Benefits:
This is a full-time, exempt position @ $70,000-$90,000 annual salary (depending on experience.) Hybrid weekday schedule, with some weekends, evenings, and in-person activities.
