Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I (SSMI), the Procurement and Grant Processing Administrator independently performs the more complex and technical analytical work related to the agency’s procurement, contracting, and grant contract processing while utilizing various Microsoft Office programs, training materials, the Financial Information System for California (Fi$CAL), the California Contract Register and eProcurement and the Grant Management System (GMS) while following the State Contracting Manual (SCM) and the State Administrative Manual.

Statement of Qualifications: The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is a narrative discussion of how a candidate’s education, training, experience, and skills qualify that candidate for the position. Resumes DO NOT take the place of the Statement of Qualifications.

The SOQ must be typed and not more than one page in length, using Arial 12-point font, and respond to the following two questions:

  1. Describe your experience and knowledge of the PPROCURMENT process in California State service or private industry.
  2. Describe your experience with state CONTRACTS.

You may include any unique work experience or knowledge you possess that qualifies you for this position.

Individuals who are new to state service must have the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) list eligibility in order to gain employment as an Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) with any state agency.
