|Oxnard Tamale Festival||Multidisciplinary|
The annual Oxnard Tamale Festival, held in conjunction with the Oxnard Christmas Parade in downtown Oxnard, will feature authentic home-style tamales served by local restaurants and vendors.
The festival will include tamale making demonstrations, eating contest, live mariachi music from Oxnard High School and local group Inlakech, raffles, arts & crafts for kids, and a visit by Santa Claus.
Proceeds of the Oxnard Tamale Festival go towards supporting local non-profits and recreation projects that serve over 100,000 of our youth each year. The event has also established a scholarship fund for Oxnard City Corps members that attend or plan to attend Oxnard College.
