Volunteer Program Manager
Japanese American National Museum

Volunteer Services Manager at Japanese American National Museum, Temp/FT - (JANM) has a very active multi-generational volunteer corp. of over 100. An affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution and AAM accredited. Located in historic Little Tokyo and adjacent to Metro Gold Line LT/Arts district station.  JANM is looking for a Volunteer Program Manager to analyze the program, make recommendations for strengthening and improving program, and provide implementation plan for approved changes. Desired outcome is to create a program strategic plan for increasing recruitment of skilled volunteers to provide capacity and improve retention. Bachelor’s degree, Minimum 5 years demonstrated success working in non-profit, HR or museums with 3 years successful project management experience.  Experience leading and motivating others to accomplish goals.  Must be a self-starter with good computer skills and experience using volunteer management software. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Must have strong people skills.

Tues-Sat schedule wtih availability on evening as needed for events. Funding for one year. Salary DOE. Please visit for more details and application instructions. EOE
