Arts Education Partnership seeks SF Bay Area young artist to design conference program cover - June 10 deadline

Published: 06-02-2011

The Arts Education Partnership (AEP) is a coalition that demonstrates and promotes the essential role of the arts in enabling every student to succeed in school, life and work in the diverse global economies and societies of the 21st century. Its national forum, Transforming Urban School Systems Through the Arts, hopes to create a national conversation about how arts learning can help reclaim our urban school systems and re-engineer the future of America's cities. It will take place in San Francisco September 15-16, 2011.

AEP is seeking student art submissions for the design of the front cover of their Fall 2011 National Forum program booklet. The winning artwork will be displayed on the front cover of the booklet, and the winning artist will be interviewed for a feature on the back cover. Also, the winner receives a $100 prize, to be presented in a special award ceremony at the National Forum on the morning of Friday, September 16, 2011. Additionally, AEP will donate $100 to the winning student's art teacher for the purchase of art supplies.

All applicants must be between the ages of 13-25, must be a student during the time of entry, and must reside in the San Francisco Bay Area. The deadline for submission is Friday, June 10, 2011 at midnight EST.
