New PSA to promote California Arts Day -- available in English, Spanish and Chinese

The Arts Council invites Californians to support creativity, innovation and the arts in California on the 11th annual celebration on October

Sacramento -

The California Arts Council has released an animated public service announcement (PSA) highlighting the importance of the arts in the state and California Arts Day on October 7, 2011. This year's theme is "Drive Creativity" with the overall message of supporting the arts and arts education to further innovation and creativity in the state. The PSA is available for broadcast in three languages: English, Spanish and Chinese.

The PSA can be obtained from the California Arts Council website for viewing, embedding into webpages, or to download and use in non-web media (cable, theaters, etc.) The download files are MP4s.

The California Arts Council, a state agency, is the main proponent of California Arts Day, celebrated on the first Friday of October each year. National Arts and Humanities Month has been celebrated across the nation for years.
