Grant Awarded for Arts in Corrections Pilot Program

The California Arts Council approved a grant to California Lawyers for the Arts for an arts-in-corrections pilot program and study. The $10,000 grant will support arts programs in Central Valley correctional facilities, and the value of the program will be evaluated by public administration experts. SEE PRESS RELEASE

Arts Council to Meet in Santa Ana

The California Arts Council will meet on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at the Fluor Gallery at the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana. The meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. and end at approximately 4:00 p.m., with a scheduled public-comment period at 3:30 p.m. AGENDA
