The California Arts Council Announces Mobile Version of Website

The California Arts Council released a mobile version of its website this week. Individuals may now view important informational California Arts Council webpages that have been specifically designed for mobile devices like iPhones, Android phones and Blackberries.

New ArtWorks! feature: Music LA, from the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs

The latest feature from the California Arts Council's ArtWorks! section profiles Music LA, a citywide initiative that has been providing music education for young people since 2005. Students have access to hands-on instrumental and/or vocal instruction in any musical genre. Music LA is a program from the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs. SEE FEATURE

Sacramento Arts Organizations Recognized for Quality Work in Schools and Communities

State Senate Pro Temp and other legislators will join the California Arts Council on February 14, 2011, for a grant awards presentation in Sacramento to honor 14 arts organizations and highlight the quality work they do in regional Sacramento-area schools and communities.  The presentation will take place in the State Senate Chambers and start at 9:30 a.m.
