Over 30 Students to Compete in California's Poetry Out Loud Finals in Sacramento on March 20-21

Students from 34 counties will compete this year in the annual California Poetry Out Loud finals on Sunday and Monday, March 20 and 21, 2011. This year marks the third time the state Senate Chambers will be the venue for the California Poetry Out Loud state finals on Monday, and the agency and staff in the capitol plan on having the event televised and webcast live on the Cal Channel.

California Summer School for the Arts Now Accepting Applications

"Art Works" is theme of new logo from the National Endowment for the Arts: California Arts Council grantees should switch out NEA logos on websites, use new logo for collateral materials

The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) recently released a new logo for the agency emphasizing "Art Works," the theme initiated by NEA Chair Rocco Landesman emphasizing the importance of arts and creativity to the creative economy and healthy communities.
